About Laura

IMG_40002Laura is a Registered Dietitian with a Masters in Public Health Nutrition (MPH) from The University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

She is passionate about making traditional diets healthful and accessible for all her clients.

She also understands that there is more to life than food and exercise, and that health is simply a tool for living a life of purpose.

You can learn more about Laura by checking out her blog or visiting her on Facebook.

She believes the focus should be on including nutrient-dense foods in your diet, and not focusing on the variety of foods that need to be excluded. The best way to maintain a healthy weight is to adopt a lifestyle that can be maintained indefinitely, one that supports your energy levels, moderates your appetite and satiety signals, provides complete nutrition, and tastes delicious.

The same health and nutrition principles that apply to avoiding chronic disease can be applied to supporting beauty and fitness, and the earier we start applying Ancestral wisdom to our lives, the happier, more vibrant, and overall healthier we can be. She generally follows an Ancestral inspired lifestyle that is both healthy AND enjoyable, and practices the 80/20 principle, as food is not only nourishment, but is also a source of pleasure. There is no reason you can’t eat healthy food and still love what you eat every day!
